Kids’ eyeglasses FAQs

Great question! Warby Parker Kids is a collection of our bestselling adult frames, scaled down for kids ages 4–8. These pairs are made from the same premium materials as all of our eyewear, and they start at $95, including prescription lenses. We’ve also included spring hinges for an extra-flexible fit.
We make our children’s eyeglasses with durable cellulose acetate frames and impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses, plus they include spring hinges for extra flexibility—great for kids needing sports glasses, reading glasses, or even blue-light glasses.
We’ve sold kids’ frames in our stores previously, but now we offer the full selection online and on the Warby Parker apps (both iPhone and Android). Exciting!
Yes! Our kids’ frames can accommodate most children’s prescriptions. When you check out, you’ll have the opportunity to add an up-to-date copy of your child’s prescription, and we’ll take care of the rest. (If they need a glasses prescription, we offer in-store eye exams for everyone ages 4 and up!)
Our kids’ glasses were designed with children ages 4–8 in mind. To help with sizing, you’ll find specific width measurements on each frame’s product page. Kids ages 9 and up may prefer our adult frames, which come in sizes ranging from Extra Narrow to Extra Wide.
Our kids’ frames come standard with polycarbonate lenses, which are recommended for children 16 and under. These are the most impact-resistant lenses we offer, and they’re safest for minors. They also include anti-reflective coatings and scratch-resistant treatments, and our prescription lenses are covered under our six-month, no-scratch guarantee.

For kids with stronger prescriptions, our 1.67 high-index lenses are thinner and more lightweight—but slightly less impact-resistant than our polycarbonate option. We recommend them for prescriptions that are higher than +/- 4.00. These cost an additional $60.

You can also add blue-light-filtering lenses to any pair of prescription or non-prescription kids’ glasses. These lenses cost an additional $50 and you can learn more about them right here.
Yes! We partner (and are considered in-network) with several vision insurance carriers. And even if we’re out of network, you can still save an average of $100—you’ll just have to apply for reimbursement after checkout.
